PE Reflection

This semester I was introduced to prosody and PE. Over the course of the semester, I think that my shadowing skills improved tremendously as did my ability to speak faster. I had no idea that word pitch was even a thing before taking Japanese here at Princeton, so I think that my pitch has definitely improved over the course of the semester. In order to improve my speaking, I spoke with a native speaker frequently (although she used Hiroshima dialect), which forced me to speak with her (mainly in casual).
As I go into the summer, I plan to continue speaking Japanese with those who had either learned it or are fluent. I also want to speak Japanese with my grandmother.

大学院に行く予定がありますよ。でも、大学院を卒業したら、気象学者(meteorologist)になりたいです。私は天気が大好きだから、気象学者はとても面白くて楽しそうな仕事です。
